We Are Hiring!
Do you like to write? Think you might make a good writing coach?
We are hiring SOJC students to serve as coaches for the 2022-23 school year. Consider applying if you are:
- An SOJC student majoring in advertising, journalism, public relations or media studies
- A strong reader and writer
- Good working with other people
- Interested in getting involved in the SOJC
How to apply:
Complete the coach application and email it to sojcwriter@uoregon.edu by Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at 5 p.m.
What to include:
• A 200-word personal statement telling us why you are interested in working as a writing coach and explaining how it fits with your eventual career/volunteer goals
• Two samples of your best writing. At least one piece of writing must be from class (e.g., a Gateway turning point, a basic news story from J361 or a news release from J352). It’s fine if both pieces are from class.
